Impact Assessment of Innovation Policy

Overview of Data Sources

The module will rely on diverse data sources to conduct the best possible analysis:

1. Data on Public Research Outputs and Inputs (including information provided by international databases of publications and patents, as well as other international databases with information on public research organisations)
2. Data on Innovation Performance (including possibly the Orbis database, STAN and other sources of micro-level information on industry and its innovation performance)
3. Information on Commercialisation Efforts (including possibly survey information from the Association of University Technology Managers for US and Canadian Universities)
4. Additional Data Sources (including information retrieved from the Internet such as Google Scholar, etc.)

Further detail is provided in DSTI/STP/TIP(204)11/ANN.

This discussion forum allows for comments on the proposed data sources and suggestions on other alternative sources of information that could be used.
