Greetings! As the biennium closes out, it is fitting that autumn has been a season of harvest at BNCT. The upcoming 5-7 December meeting of the BNCT will allow BNCT delegates the opportunity to comment on a number of near-ready policy reports coming out to conclude the 2015-16 biennium. These will be published and publicly available after comment. These include: three final reports on bioeconomy policy, a policy report on neurotechnology and society, a policy report on innovation and the microbiome, and workshop report and background paper on gene editing, and a draft report on statistics and indicators of nanotechnology and biotechnology.
Furthermore, in December, BNCT must finalise its work plans for the next Programme of Work and Budget 2017-18. The full slate of work plans, developed in close collaboration with Steering Groups, will be conisdered one more time. There are other important sundry items like the accession of Lithuania and Costa Rica. We look forward to welcoming you to Paris next month!
